It’s not just the new
musical offerings from Maison Kitsune then get me giddily blogging (Sake by Jupiter is still an absolute summer daze favourite) - their seasonal
clothing collections are without doubt another reason for me to get me back on
the Kitsuné train.
But when the Spring/Summer 2013 Lookbook landed in front of my eager eyes this morning it wasn't just appeasing - imagine next level air punches at seeing a summery offering that resonated with the ol' raison d'etre on every count.
Of course the clean cut,
preppy lines that dictate so many of the Parisian label's collections are still
evident, but this time expect a bold turn to West Coast CA for an upmarket style with a succinct serving
of surfer attitude.
California cool, aka laid back
confidence infused with a salty seaside breeze is precisely the note this
collection hits, with retro and colourful overtones throughout. Fortunately it’s a sweet summer sound that I'm more than willing to listen to all season long.
